One of the most impressive trends from Milan this year was the prevalence of irregular shapes in kitchens. Michael Kitchener and his design team were taken aback by the creativity and flair on display. The assymetrical cabinetry, funky doors, protruding units as well as uneven benchtops was an inspiring illustration of what the future of kitchen and living spaces will look like.
Differing heights, sizes and angles provided great aesthetic charm. However the practical appeal was just as strong, with many smart applications such as innovative shelving combinations on walls and in pantries. This is one exciting development that the Kitcheners designers are already recommending to their customers.
